Sometime after [[Terra-Xehanort]]'s descent into darkness, the [[Heartless]] were released into many worlds, including Country of the Musketeers, and caused them to be swallowed into the darkness. After [[Sora]] defeated [[Ansem, Seeker of Darkness|Ansem]] and the worlds were restored, the Country of the Musketeers was one of the few worlds that remained in a state of deep sleep instead of returning to the [[Realm of Light]].

Sora arrives in the Training Yard, finding Mickey, Donald and Goofy under attack by the [[Dream Eater]]s. Goofy charges off with his eyes closed, thinking he'll get the enemies. He greets Mickey as "Your Majesty", getting met with confusion from Mickey; this is the past/dream, and Mickey is not yet King. Mickey questions him about his weapon, and Sora tries explaining that it's a Keylade; Mickey shushes him and explains that he knows he came from another world. Sora is still confused; is this a world the King visited in the past? Sora fights and destroys all the Dream Eaters, earning thanks from Mickey, Donald and Goofy; Donald was hiding because he was a coward at this point in his past. However, he puts the idea aside when the Musketeers say that they have to go protect Princess Minnie's carriage. He offers to go along and help them; they do the "all for one, and one for all" motto.


The carriage is attacked en route by a [[Tyranto Rex]], knocking off Mickey, Donald, and Goofy. Sora fends it off, but he is attacked by the [[Beagle Boys]] and knocked off the carriage as well. He regroups with the Musketeers, and they follow after the carriage. They find it near the Tower, where they find and defeat the Beagle Boys and rescue Minnie. When the Beagle Boys try again, Goofy jumps together with Mickey from the Tower's window, falling on a tree that bounces them back to the top of the Tower, knocking the Beagle Boys from the Tower into the river below. Triumphantly, the group returns to the Training Yard.
Riding on the back of the carriage with Mickey and Donald, Sora spots a [[Tyranto Rex]] rushing up to the carriage. It bites at the carriage, knocking Mickey, Donald and Goofy off, leaving Sora alone to defend against it. Successful in defeating the Dream Eater, Sora is then attacked by the [[Beagle Boys]], who he could have fought off easily, but a bump on the road knocks him off the carriage. Meeting up the Musketeers, Sora takes off after the Beagle Boys, tracking them to a tower. Defeating them in battle, Sora saves the princess. The Beagle Boys quickly return, but Sora says they can fight all day. Mickey asks his friends if they have any ideas as to what to do. Goofy jumps out a window with Mickey, landing on a tree and being shot back into the room and knocking the Beagle Boys out the other window and into the river below.


That night, Goofy runs off from patrol after spotting someone in the distance. Just as Sora tells Mickey that Goofy has left, Donald runs up and tells them that Captain Pete is plotting to kidnap the princess. Mickey and Sora try to convince Donald to stay and help save Minnie, but Donald leaves. Sora wonders about the captain's plans, prompting Pete to appear on the upper level to mock them. Pete summons Dream Eaters to attack Sora and Mickey, but Mickey confronts and tries to arrest Pete, only to be knocked out. Distracted, Sora is knocked out by a Dream Eater.
That night in the Training Yard, Sora sees Goofy run off after someone, only to be stopped by Mickey. Sora tells him that Goofy ran off. Donald then comes run by, but is stopped by them. Donald says that Captain Pete is going to kidnap the princess. Mickey is let confused as the captain made them musketeers; it was a lie. Lie or not, Mickey says that musketeers never run from danger; Donald says it's time for him to find a new job then. Sora and Mickey try to stop him, but Donald runs off. Sora reassures Mickey that Donald will be back. He then wonders what the captain is up to. This prompts laughter from above; Captain Pete makes his appearance to the visitor to this world. Sora is left confused once more by the appearance of a face from his past; however, if Pete's here, it makes sense he's the bad guy. Pete calls on [[Me Me Bunny]] Dream Eaters to keep Sora busy. Mickey jumps up to Pete and declares that he's under arrest. Pete makes a joke and clobbers Mickey. Distracted, Sora is knocked out by the Dream Eaters.


Sora is woken later by Goofy and Donald, who tell him that Pete took Mickey to the dungeon of Mont Saint-Michel, where the rising tide will drown him. Sora encourages them to help him save Mickey, and the three of them head for Mont Saint-Michel. They arrive just in time to pull an unconscious Mickey from the water. Despite Mickey's misgivings that they aren't real Musketeers, the others convince him not to give up, and they head for the Opera House to stop Pete. When they arrive, they spot the Beagle Boys carrying Princess Minnie in a locked chest.
Sora regains consciousness to find Donald and Goofy with him. He asks them where Mickey is and learns Pete put him in the dungeon of Mont Saint-Mechel. Sora tells the past versions of his friends that they have to go save Mickey, encouraging them past their flaws. They soon reach the dungeon and rescue Mickey. Once Mickey regains consciousness, Sora encourages him to continue being a musketeer despite not being a official one. With his hope renewed, Mickey explains Pete went to the Opera, where he plans to have Minnie give him control of the throne.  


On Riku's side, he lands outside the opera house and spots Pete, much to his confusion. Riku follows him inside, and finds the Beagle Boys placing wooden cutouts of Mickey, Donald, and Goofy on the stage. He then watches as they use a trap to drop a box on the cutouts, a practice run for their plan to take out the real Musketeers.
Getting on stage, Sora watches as the musketeers confront Pete after rescuing Minnie. Sora looks up to see a trap set for them that will drop a box to kill them. However, just as the box drops, it vanishes; Riku helped out from the other side. Sora tells the musketeers to get Minnie to safety while he fights Pete and the Beagle Boys. Sora sends them all firing into their boss, Pete, before fighting Pete himself. Pete tries to get the upper hand by using the stage props, but Sora sends him flying into a cannon on a pirate ship prop.


Riku follows the Beagle Boys backstage, where he finds a moving chest. Hearing someone calling for help from inside, Riku uses the Keyblade to open it, and is surprised to find Minnie. She thanks him and explains that they need to disable the trap set for the Musketeers. They spot the Beagle Boys, who are retrieving the control crank for the trap mechanism, and Riku chases after them throughout the Opera House. After knocking them out and retrieving the crank, Riku returns backstage, but is interrupted by the [[Holey Moley]]. After defeating the Dream Eater, Riku uses the gadget to disable the trap, to Pete's audible confusion.
Later, Sora, along with Mickey, Donald and Goofy, are named royal musketeers by Minnie. In the Training Yard, Sora performs the musketeer motto, making the Keyhole appear. He unlocks it and leaves.


Meanwhile, on Sora's side, he and the Musketeers chase the Beagle Boys into the theater, where Pete is waiting onstage. Pete springs a trap that drops a heavy crate on the Musketeers, but it disappears in midair. Sora realizes that Riku saved them from his side of the world, and he confronts Pete and the Beagle Boys while the other three escort Minnie from the stage. He knocks out the minions one by one and launches them at Pete, forcing him to fight Sora himself. However, Pete is ultimately defeated.

Riku lands outside the opera house and spots Pete, much to his confusion. Despite his confusion, Riku knows that no matter what world he's in, Pete's always trouble. Sneaking inside, Riku finds the [[Beagle Boys]] placing wooden cutouts of Mickey, Donald and Goofy on the stage; no matter what world they're in, those three are always together. He then watches as they use a trap to drop a box on the cutouts; when Mickey, Donald and Goofy actually get there, they could be killed.  


On Riku's side, a grateful Minnie explains to Riku what a Musketeer is and teaches him the motto. Riku feels that it fits the moment, and performs the motto. As he is leaving the backstage, the Keyhole reveals itself, and Riku unlocks it.
Riku follows the Beagle Boys backstage, where he finds a chest moving on its own. Hearing someone calling for help inside, Riku uses [[Way to the Dawn]] to open it; Minnie is inside. She thanks him and explains that they have to get the contraption that controls the trap set for the musketeers. Riku catches sight of the Beagle Boys, who forgot the level they are looking for, and chases after them. He runs after them and knocks them out, taking out several machines that would make his time before switching with Sora speed up.


Later, Princess Minnie officially dubs Sora, Mickey, Donald and Goofy Royal Musketeers. In the Training Yard, Sora says the Musketeer motto to himself, and the Keyhole appears for Sora to unlock.
Getting the crank, Riku tries to head back, but is interrupted by the [[Holey Moley]] [[Dream Eater]]; "they never want to make this easy". Making it in the nick of time, Riku attaches the crank and prevents Pete from dropping the box on the musketeers. Minnie thanks him and explains what a musketeers is; Riku performs the motto. He finds the keyhole and unlocks it, going on to the next world.

The world was first announced in a December issue of V Jump, and it features Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Pete, Minnie, and the Beagle Boys in their attire from the movie.
 
In the Jump Festa 2012 trailer, it depicts Sora riding atop of a carriage, protecting it from a [[Tyranto Rex]]. Other scenes shows Riku rescuing Princess Minnie being held captive inside a treasure chest.
