Editing Category talk:Pages for deletion

Why do we have this when we have our very own deletion page where we post stuff in need of deletion? I deleted all the articles marked in the category.--{{User:NinjaSheik/Sig}} 23:35, 27 January 2015 (UTC)

This is the first place I would go, rather than the Pages for Deletion. It's quick, easy, and centralized, it doesn't have to be archived, and even if people don't put pages for deletion on that page, for whatever, they're still here, and they'll stay here even if we let them fall into the cracks. Besides, what exactly are you proposing? Because it seems like you're just talking about taking the category out of the template, and if that's the case, why have the template at all?  --{{User:Neumannz/SigTemplate}} 04:54, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

It doesn't look like this category is used much because everything has already been deleted, and the category itself doesn't need any work or editing. You can't really tell how often anyone ''looks'' at a page, at any rate. In my case, if I see that someone has edited the Pages for Deletion, without even seeing what they wrote, I'll go to the category and see the list of pages.  --{{User:Neumannz/SigTemplate}} 01:45, 30 January 2015 (UTC)
:If I may throw in my two cents, I don't feel the need to delete this category. I always felt [[KHWiki:Pages for Deletion]] was more for speedy deletion, pages that are decided to be deleted and don't need further discussion, while the Category served to house pages, files, etc. that were tagged for deletion, but weren't necessarily immediate or decidedly for deletion, pages that might still be in discussion or aren't needed to be deleted so quickly. At least, that's how I've seen it used over the last year. I think we've only used it once to actually discuss something that was up for deletion over the last year. Regardless, if you guys feel it's more convenient to use the page and remove the category, go ahead, but I personally don't see a need to do delete the category. {{KeybladeSpyMaster/Sig}} 03:07, 30 January 2015 (UTC)

I just wondered why because this category was here when there was hardly anything listed in it before, and I thought we had the Pages for Deletion for that sole reason. I never even seen this category used before, because most of the time, everyone goes to the Deletion page. I don't know. I guess I agree with what KSM said. Use it when articles being discussed for deletion? I mean, the category serves the same purpose as the Deletion page, so as long as people use it, then it I don't see the problem of leaving it alone.--{{User:NinjaSheik/Sig}} 00:13, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
