Blazing, also called Blaze, is a material type introduced in Kingdom Hearts. Blazing materials contain the essence of fire.

Blazing, also translated as "Blaze", is a material type available in Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts II, and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Blazing materials contain the essence of fire, and are colored red.

Design
Design
Blazing materials are colored red, and have flame trapped within them. A Blazing Shard is a blocky, crescent-shaped jewel. A Blazing Stone consists of three jewels, one shaped like an uneven cube and two with an oblong, pointy shape. A Blazing Gem consists of four jewels, a large facet cut jewel, with two smaller facet cut jewels at the sides, and a small, diamond-shaped jewel at the bottom. A Blazing Crystal consists of a large star-shaped jewel, with a smaller facet cut jewel at the bottom, and a diamond-shaped jewel on either side.
Blazing materials are represented by bright red jewels with what seem to be tongues of flame trapped in them. They have an Elemental material structure.

The material's name refers to the essence of fire it contains.
A "blaze" is a fast-burning fire that produces a great deal of flame and light. This reflects the "essence of fire" the material contains, as well as the flames the material has in it.
