Editing Beast's Castle

Taking place entirely within and on the grounds of a {{w|Loire Valley}}-styled castle in old {{w|France}}; [[Sora]], [[Donald Duck|Donald]], and [[Goofy]] reunite with their friends [[Beast]] and [[Belle]], who they had met at [[Hollow Bastion]] in [[Kingdom Hearts (game)|the previous game]].

Sora and his party arrive in, appropriately enough, the castle's {{nihongo|'''{{a|Entrance Hall}}'''|エントランスホール|Entoransu Hōru}}. A small door to the east leads to the small {{nihongo|'''{{a|Parlor}}'''|居間|Ima}}, which holds the world's [[Moogle Shop]], as well as a save point. To the north back in the Entrance Hall is a grand staircase that leads to both wings of the castle; going straight ahead takes the party into the magnificent {{nihongo|'''{{a|Ballroom}}'''|ダンスホール|Dansu Hōru|lit. "Dance Hall"}}.

Going to the east takes the party to the {{nihongo|'''{{a|East Wing}}'''|東の棟|Higashi no Tō}}, where {{nihongo|'''{{a|Belle's Room}}'''|ベルの部屋|Beru no Heya}} is located. Here, she provides information, a few chests, and a save point. Going to the west takes the party to the much larger and more involved {{nihongo|'''{{a|West Hall}}'''|西のホール|Nishi no Hōru}}. Suits of armor block the stairs to the right, and so the only place Sora and his group can explore, once [[The Wardrobe]] is moved, is the {{nihongo|'''{{a|Undercroft}}'''|地下倉庫|Chika Sōko|lit. "Underground Storage"}}.

After a boss battle, the party reaches the {{nihongo|'''{{a|Dungeon}}'''|地下牢|Chika Rō}}, where they meet Beast's servants and learn of the world's events. The group goes out of a secret passage in the Undercroft to the {{nihongo|'''{{a|Secret Passage}}'''|抜け道|Nukemichi}}, which allows them to sneak behind the armored suits blocking the stairs back in the West Hall. Entering the door opposite the Secret Passage takes the group to the {{nihongo|'''{{a|West Wing}}'''|西の棟|Nishi no Tō}} proper, at the end of which is {{nihongo|'''{{a|Beast's Room}}'''|ビーストの部屋|Bīsuto no Heya}}. The main doors of the Entrance Hall lead outside to the {{nihongo|'''{{a|Courtyard}}'''|庭|Niwa}}, full of fighting gargoyles.

During the second visit to the castle, the doors in the Courtyard unlock, allowing access to the {{nihongo|'''{{a|Bridge}}'''|橋|Hashi}}, where the final confrontation with [[Xaldin]] takes place.

In ''[[Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days]]'', a passage in the Courtyard leads to the {{nihongo|'''{{a|Entrance Hall, Upper Level}}'''|エントランスホール:2階|Entoransu Hōru: Ni-kai|lit. "Entrance Hall: Second Floor}}, which has a door leading to the balcony in the Ballroom and a hole in wall drops you into the main Entrance Hall.

As Player enters the Castle, Chirithy notes how creepy it is before they are scared by a Heartless. Player battles the Heartless before they are aided by Beast, who then turns on Player and locks them up in the Castle Dungeon. Just as Player is about to use their Keyblade to escape, Belle appears and releases them with the Castle Servants. Belle apologizes for Beast's behavior before promising to help Player explain to Beast the misunderstanding. Belle leads Player to the West Wing and confronts Beast, who says the Heartless tried to take something precious from him. Belle encourages Beast to trust Player and help them get rid of the Heartless.

After ridding the Castle of Heartless, Beast reconciles with Belle and he surprises her with the Castle Library as a present. Player watches the couple dance before preparing to leave. However, as chrirthy comments on how quick it was clear the world, Belle runs past prompting Player to investigate. Following Belle into the Woods, they find her rescuing her Father from the snow storm. Belle asks Player to check on Beast for her so they return to the Castle. Unfortunately, Gaston and an army of heartless begin marching on the Castle, and while Player and the servants prepare to defend it, Beast is too heartbroken to care. As Player fights off the Heartless, they notice Gaston attacking Beast, luckily Belle appears in time to encourage him, but Gaston's darkness creates a powerful Heartless to attack her. Player manages to defeat it allowing Belle to enter the Castle. Beast fights back against Gaston and shows him  mercy, but as Beast reconciles with Belle, Gaston stabs him before falling from the roof to his death. As Beast lays dying, Belle confesses her love for him, causing him to transform back into his Human form as Prince Adam. Afterwards Prince Adam and Belle dance in the Ballroom, as Chirithy notes to Player that she is one of the precious lights of the world.

Xehanort travels to Beast's Castle with Urd and Hermod, to continue their investigations into the Upperclassmen. After rescuing Chip the teacup from Heartless, he takes the three Keyblade wielders to Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs Potts and Wardrobe, who are surprised to see Urd, a girl in the castle, believing she may break the spell on their Master. The servants explain that their Master is in a frightful state after his Rose was stolen, so the three Keyblade wielders agree to help out. They find Beast in his room who immediately attacks them, saying they look like the people who stole his Rose. Urd tries to explain they are not responsible but Beast refuses to listen. Deciding its best to leave, the three Keyblade wielders make their way out of the castle but are attacked by two powerful Heartless. Xehanort and Hermod deal with one, while Urd pursues the other to the Ballroom, which turns out the be an ambush. However she is saved by Vala and Vali, two of the missing Upperclassmen. Vala comments that Urd's heart is strong and that she could be helpful to their mission. But Urd refuses to listen to Vala and asks if she sole the Rose from Beast. Vala tells Urd that the Rose is a key to this World's order, and that they took it in the hopes that it would lead them to the precious light that resides in this World. When Urd refuses again to go with them, Vali returns the Rose and he and Vala leave, though Xehanort manages to overhear the conversation from the doorway. Urd returns the Rose to Beast, who is very grateful and apologises for his anger. Urd also turns down Lumiere's offer to stay saying she has things she needs to do, but she does tell Lumiere to tell Beast that she knows his wish will come true one day.

*In the manga adaptation, several others enchanted servants appear, such as a [[disney:Sultan (Beauty and the Beast)|footstool-dog]]<!--is he actually called "sultan" in the manga? also, coat rack?-->, though they have no spoken lines.
