Hello!

I'm Aid1043 (they/he). My primary focus is on music articles, both creating new ones (I've made about 200) and updating old ones (most haven't been touched since 358/2 Days released). I also cover new secret endings, remade the Kingdom Hearts Magical Puzzle Clash article, and make various edits based on grammar and formatting.

Music

Like most of us here, I'm a big fan of Kingdom Hearts music. I'm currently working on creating a music article for every song (so we can finally kill off this page).

Also, check out this forum page for a list of where songs play in each game (work in progress).

Union χ[Cross]

I am (to my knowledge) the only person insane enough to go through the entirety of the Unchained χ / Union χ[Cross] theater mode (and a few χ[chi] exclusive cutscenes) and record what music tracks are used. Here's the spreadsheet.

Some interesting facts I discovered:

  • Union χ cutscenes feature 74 different songs (76 counting different versions of "Dearly Beloved").
    • An additional 3 songs are exclusive to the χ[chi] intro and credits ("Fairy Tale" and "The World You Wished For", respectively; the tracks are "Memories in Pieces", "Cavern of Remembrance", and "Another Side").
    • This is also not including tracks such as "Mission Complete" and "Hand in Hand -Union χ version-" that play during the game, but not in any cutscenes.
  • The cutscenes "Number Four" and "The Magic Lamp" have 5 unique tracks each; no other cutscene has more than 3.
  • Only 10 cutscenes do not feature any background music.
  • Union χ features songs originating from almost every Kingdom Hearts installment: ten out of thirteen (at the time of it's existence). That's every game except 358/2 Days, Re:coded, and 0.2 BbS AFP.

Dark Road

What if I did the same thing for every cutscene in this game too? And with another spreadsheet?

  • Dark Road features 40 different songs between gameplay and cutscenes.
  • This is the only installment in the Kingdom Hearts series to not introduce a single new music track.
  • There are only two bosses with unique battle music; all non-final bosses use "Rowdy Rumble" (even though the cutscenes right before and after the fight use actual boss themes).
    • Vali, Vala, & Vidar use "True Darkness", a song used once ever before (in KHIII) which makes a full-force return in this game.
    • Hringhorn uses "Hunter of the Dark", which was originally a final boss theme (BbS Secret Episode) but was demoted to a normal boss theme in KHIII
  • The cutscenes "Darkness's True Form" and "Baldr's Darkness" feature 3 unique tracks each, while no other cutscene uses more than 2.
  • Only 2 cutscenes do not feature any background music: "The Departure" and "Corridor of Darkness".
  • The credits use the same arrangement of "Dearly Beloved" that was introduced in the Union χ credits.

  • Update the articles for tracks made under old standards:
    • Kingdom Hearts
    • Chain of Memories
    • Kingdom Hearts II
    • 358/2 Days
  • Add album arrangements to main articles, make articles for original medleys:

    • Kingdom Hearts Tribute Album
    • Kingdom Hearts Concert -First Breath-
    • Kingdom Hearts Orchestra -World Tour-

  • Find a place to put Terra and Naminé's conversation, "Secret Story from Kingdom Hearts Concert - First Breath -"
  • Cry while attempting to find a record of Kairi, Xion, and Aqua's individual monologues from Kingdom Hearts Orchestra -World Tour-
    • Like actually, where are they?
    • All I can find is an incomplete, unofficial translation
    • I mean, a recording of the English scenes has to be out there somewhere, right?
    • I'll even settle for the Japanese version, okay???
    • If anyone finds a record, please let me know.
    • Please.
  • When the above list gets completed (as if):
    • Fix all of the missing track files
    • Add a basic "Composition" section to all tracks
    • Start working on MoM sections for each track
