Regardless of the version of the game, "Blast Away! -Gummi Ship II-" is approximately one minute and fifty seconds long, plays at a tempo of 146 beats per minute, and has a time signature of 4/4. As with other field themes, "Blast Away! -Gummi Ship II-" has a brief introduction - this time of two measures. It is also heard during the Mr. Sakurai Presents video presentation on Sora, where it is played while Masahiro Sakurai is describing Sora's attributes and his alternative costumes, and when making the announcement of the Kingdom Hearts games releasing on the Nintendo Switch. It is also used for Sora's Classic Mode credits, which similarly features the player's chosen character flying through a colorful area while shooting at targets.
