Sometime before [[Sora]]'s arrival, Tia revived [[Hector Barbossa]] from death.

[[Sora]], [[Donald]], and [[Goofy]] first encounter Tia on the shores of Davy Jones' Locker along with [[William Turner]], [[Elizabeth Swann]], [[Hector Barbossa]], and [[Joshamee Gibbs]]. After [[Jack Sparrow]] establishes that they are, in fact, in the Locker, he recruits her to join the crew on the account of their past relationship and her skills as a mystic.

By the time Sora makes it there, Will informs them that Barbossa thought [[Cutler Beckett]] and Davy Jones could be defeated if Tia was freed from her human form, but upon doing so, it did not seem to work. However, Sora still believes that Tia may still be able to help them out.

Tia seems to have knowledge of the existence of other worlds, as she gives a knowing smile when Sora says he's from "another sea".
