It was officially announced at the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra -World of Tres- on June 8, 2019, and is the first major downloadable expansion in the Kingdom Hearts series. It is set to be released worldwide on January 23, 2020 on the PS4 and February 25, 2020 on the Xbox One.
