His arms and lower body are liquefied, drooping and glowing red, while his upper body and head are covered in a magma-like substance, lava visible through the cracked lining. Once up close, the Lava Titan attacks by swinging one of its arms around and sending lots of fireballs raining down. This can be avoided more easily by going down the opposite side of the mound. The Lava Titan first appears in Disney's 1997 animated feature, ''Hercules'', voiced by {{w|Jim Cummings}}. Known in Disney canon as "Pyros," he wreaks havoc eons before the events of the film, along with his fellow Titans. The Titans' rampage is stopped by Zeus, however, and they are all imprisoned in a cage of lightning deep beneath the sea. Eighteen years after the birth of Hercules, Hades, the Lord of the Dead, steals the young hero's godly strength and uses his power to unleash Lythos and the other Titans.
