Iago is a selfish, rude and abnoxious parrot. He secretly mocks his master, Jafar, and the only reason he probably obeys him is to fulfill his own greediness. He is relatively harmless, and secretly has a good heart, which he tries to hide. He is slightly cowardly, and tends to hestitate before rushing into anything he believes will be hazardous to his well-being.

In ''Aladdin'', Iago is the loyal servant of Jafar. He follows Jafar in hopes to become rich when his master finds the mysterious lamp of the [[Genie]]. He helps Jafar trick the street rat [[Aladdin]] into venturing into the [[Cave of Wonders]] and collecting the lamp. When it is lost by Jafar to Aladdin, Iago disguises himself and steals the lamp back. Once Jafar crowns himself sultan of [[Agrabah]], Iago becomes a noble and Jafar believes he is in bliss. But when Aladdin returns and imprisons Jafar in his own lamp, Jafar grabs onto the escaping Iago and both are sucked into the lamp prison.

Iago is a parrot from Walt Disney's Aladdin. He is the servant of Jafar. He appears in all the Kingdom Hearts games, and is voiced in the games and the movie by Gilbert Gottfried. He also appears in Walt Disney's The Return of Jafar, Aladdin and the King of Thieves and the TV series of Aladdin.
