Aerial Recovery (エアリカバリー Ea Rikabarī , lit. "Air Recovery") is a technique introduced in Kingdom Hearts II. It allows the user to upright themselves after being knocked into the air by an enemy attack.
Mechanics
In Kingdom Hearts II, Aerial Recovery is a support ability triggered by pressing , in the Japanese releases, after getting knocked into the air. It costs 2 AP to equip. In contrast to Retaliating Slash, Sora is granted brief invulnerability when performing Aerial Recovery, and can parry enemy attacks.
In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Aerial Recovery is an ability panel that can be leveled up from Aerial Recovery LV1 to Aerial Recovery LV2 and Aerial Recovery LV3 by linking A. Recovery LV+ Ⓛ (リカバリーアップⓁ Rikabarī Appu Ⓛ , lit. "Recovery Up Ⓛ") panels. It is triggered by pressing after getting knocked into the air.
In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, Aerial Recovery is a reprisal command that is triggered by pressing , in the Japanese releases, after getting knocked into the air. It can be equipped in place of a Payback-type command.
In Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, Aerial Recovery is a Bonus Booster ability that is triggered by pressing after getting knocked into the air.
In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Aerial Recovery is a reprisal command that is triggered by pressing after getting knocked into the air. It can be equipped in place of a Payback-type command. It grants +1 to Defense when attached to a Dream Eater recipe.
