Saïx with New Moon
New Moon (ニュームーン Nyū Mūn) is one of Saïx's weapons in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. It is Saïx's basic weapon, and therefore requires no Gears to be attached to him in order to wield it. In appearance, New Moon is almost entirely gray, symbolizing that it is the most basic of all of Saïx's weapons through the use of achromatic colors.
A "new moon" is a lunar phase where the moon is hardly visible in the sky due to no sunlight reflecting of the side that faces the Earth.
