Sometimes, a Keyblade does not possess a Keychain. For example, the incomplete [[Keyblade of heart]] was missing a Keychain, as are the abandoned Keyblades which litter the [[Keyblade Graveyard]]. In other instances, a Keyblade may originally possess a Keychain, but lose it over time. This is demonstrated by Aqua's [[Stormfall]] and Terra's [[Ends of the Earth]], which possessed Keychains during the events of Birth By Sleep. However, by the time of Kingdom Hearts II, both Keyblades are missing their Keychains.
